I want to start with the positives -- this place is in the PERFECT location. Our daughter is living in Trastevere and this location is 5 minutes walking distance to her and yet, directly across the street is the walking bridge over to Rome. It couldn't be any better situated!
I assumed it was a hotel. I reviewed their notes and pictures and was very excited for my upcoming stay. Unfortunately, my arrival was delayed until after 9pm -- I didn't realize that would be a challenge. This is NOT a hotel, it's a suite of rooms in a building. There is NO reception and NO concierge. The people that work there are only there on SOME days from c. 4-c. 7 pm (those were the hours I was told). This means if you can't figure out where extra blankets are or how to turn the heat up, you're on your own. No one to ask.
Check in was a bit of a nightmare -- since no one was there when I arrived, I had to call (my phone wasn't working internationally despite my plan, so I had to call daughter & ask her to contact them -- very challenging since no-one is on site 24/7). They did not answer my emails through Hotels.com, so only had to rely on my daughter. I did get in, but because no one was there, I had to meet them the next day to present my credit card. Another problem because they wanted me to come back at 3pm to provide but my day was already underway! They also don't have the toiletries that are pictured -only hand soap & body soap. No conditioner or lotion or shampoo.
