Terrible experience due to that the Hotels.com description did not match the reality of the Oceanic Resort. We wanted a hotel with private beach and beach bar, which we found via hotels.com and Oceanic Resort. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we quickly realized this was not the case. True that the hotel was next to the beach, however the sea area was completely blocked off from the hotel with big walls, locked doors and no walkways down to the water (there were big stone blocks) and no beach bar.
Additional mismatch of description was: no ATM on the hotel facility, only 2 (not 3) restaurants, as stated in the hotels.com description.
This was the worst hotel when it comes to Wifi. We had constant problems with Wifi and don’t come here if you have iPhones; had to constantly login as the session got closed after few minutes, even if you use it. Apparently, Android worked fine.
The pool area was also big disappointment; big walls/no view, open to public/overcrowded, dirty water/everywhere and they played much too loud musical all day long. One stair up from the pool were a lounge, however somebody came with brilliant idea to build a sold brick wall towards the beach side, blocking the view!
The sea water and beaches were covered in litter!
On the good side was helpful staff who tried to assist best they could (not their fault the hotels.com description does not match reality) and we experienced the best breakfast compared to other hotels on our 2 weeks Ghana trip!
