A rather challenging experience.
My partner and I had hit traffic during to the property, rang and informed the owner. The owners response was really quite rude and borderline insulting, due to the traffic we we going to miss the check in cut off, due to this the owner refused us check in and told us to find somewhere to else to stay, this was at 8pm.
My partner in particular didn't wish to stay at the property at all after this exchange, however we did find somewhere else to stay that night and checked in the following day. The room and property was well kept and pleasent, the interaction with the owner was significantly more pleasent in person.
The owner also mentioned we should go via Expedia to request a refund.
Following our return home, I have requested to refund and had the owner refuse the request going back on the statements/impression given during our stay.
Though the stay it's self and the property were nice the interactions with the owner, inflexibility regards arrival time which was unavoidable on our part and then being misled regards the refund have certainly leth a rather fowl impression of the experiance putting a downer on our weekend away.
