This property is so beautiful and with only three rooms in the main structure, an intimate setting. We had two of them, and the first night, we had the place to ourselves. That was the best night. It went downhill from there. First, let me be clear, the Inn Keeper is great and this is not a reflection of her service and hospitality.
We knew this was a working winery when we booked, but we we not prepared for a family to show up and, well, act like they own the place. Turns out, they do own the place. The children were so loud, playing outside our rooms, climbing on the ladder to the little loft area, and there was an adult shushing them - so annoying and disruptive. We left for the day and didn't return until late night, like 9PM, but we would have rather enjoyed the property.
We felt insulted and like we were intruding. The kicker was seeing the feast being prepared for the family the morning we check out. It was insulting. For the price we paid, and the chef preparing fresh muffins, bread, coffee, French toast. every morning anyway, it would have been nice to have an omelette or scrambled egg option. Then, 4 or 5 kids burst into the kitchen, loud, talking over each other, and acting like kids, which we did not sign up for. We just got out of there.
Also, the owner used 2 of the 3 parking spaces. Charge your cars and leave the spaces for guests.
The hot water also only got hot once the owner arrived. Could be a coincidence. It was just warm otherwise.
