This was just a one night stopover, and aren't we glad it was.
The location for going places is good, close to the train station and there is a lovely street for food and drinks around the corner.
Admittedly, whether it is Bari itself or by being near the train and bus station, the area itself isn't very salubrious.
The accommodation itself in the other hand.....
Started when we got there, we knew it wasn't a hotel, but when they claim to speak English it is good for more than "7, 2nd floor, 3 euros, tax and lift".
The lift itself is very small 2 of us, rucksacks and 1 case filed it.
The room itself was very basic. Generally clean enough, though the slats in the headboard were filed with dust, at least hope it was just dust.
There was a small enclosed balcony between the bedroom and the shower room.
Then the basic shower room. The shower water was just warm, it leaked and wasn't very clean, my Mrs almost claimed she came out dirtier than when she went in!!!!!
The positive experience with the staff was the older gentleman who checked us out, not much English, but at least he smiled.
At least it wasn't too expensive.
Just be mindful that the pictures certainly didn't reflect the room we had, and my Mrs noted that some of the pictures seemed to match the furniture in the staff room!
