Disappointing family stay
Booked two rooms over three months ago for a two day family break. Firstly, we were asked for passport and visa details upon checkin and were told the booking could not proceed without this. This left us frantically trying to retrieve these details for some period of time when an efficient hotel would’ve noticed the booking was international, and requested this information in advance. After receiving our keys and entering our rooms, it was frustrating to see the rooms given were Double Rooms despite the booking being for Twin Rooms and several emails in advance to the hotel attempting to ensure this request was fulfilled. Only after much persistence and a delay did the Front Office Manager act upon the request and correct the room types.
My bed springs were damaged so I spent two night’s sleeping uncomfortably on one side. There were many mosquitos and I don’t believe the rooms were fumigated every evening. Room cleaning was okay but smaller towels were not replaced. I was told I was not allowed to bring in a mini speaker yet on the second night, there was loud music blaring at an in-house party until late. This baffled me and resulted in the whole family having disrupted sleep. We also played one friendly game of family cards in the restaurant only to be told cards were not allowed. I mean…seriously…what?!
Breakfast was fairly limited but okay and staff were helpful.
As a regular Radisson guest, I will never return to Radisson Zirakpur Chandigarh.
