Staying just one night and arrived late-ish. Car park hard to find in the dark - needs reflective strips or very simple lighting of the entrance. Location easy to find from postcode and obvious when near. As name suggests, the Inn has a bar on the ground floor, which looked nice, was warmed by a fire, and which had good patronage.
I was put in a room which was immediately above the kitchen and which had the (boxed-in) fan flue running through it; it was very noisy when running, and kitchen noises (pans being put down, etc) could be heard clearly. This is the main reason marked down on comfort.
The room was nicely furnished, spacious and had a decent bathroom. There was a lot of gurgling or "belching" of air (but not water) coming from the bath, sink and toilet drains, which was attributed to wind outside causing a vacuum. It was disconcerting.
The staff were pleasant and helpful within their capability (but were unable to change room or fix pipes!).
