We picked this agritourismo hotel for its proximity to Catania and the airport - as well as its value and good reviews. It is in the middle of nowhere but very easy to find off the A19 because it is well signposted all the way. It is 20 minutes from the airport IF there is no traffic, but it took us 45 minutes because the approach to the airport is terribly confusing and there were long lines of cars. So allow yourself plenty of time. It is an excellent hotel in a rural setting, but so close to the city. Views across the countryside to Etna, very quiet, comfortable rooms, lots of parking, a varied menu in their diningroom, good wifi and the staff could not be more helpful. They allowed us to check in three hours early - we only asked if we could drop our bags - they made us cups of tea on request (the English do like their tea!) and gave us excellent local information on how to get an easy car parking space right by the Duomo in Catania. (It took 30 mins to drive right to the centre of Catania). It is a good place also if you want to visit Etna - take the A19 back to the A18 in the Messina direction, and soon you will see Etna signposted. The only thing we thought could be improved was that the shower took a very long time to get hot.
