As others have noted, this hotel is under renovation. You can tell from the construction stuff in the parking area, the empty lobby, and the poor condition of the elevator floor. As I walked into my room (#421), there were other indications of both ongoing construction and inefficient planning: a piece of paper stuffed into the peep hole to block the view, a mini-refrigerator door that fell off the first time I tried to open it, no trash cans, and wires coming out of the walls where they had not finished some work.
That said, there were positives: black-out shades that kept the room very dark at night, a comfortable bed, a nice shower, easy and free parking, and a friendly staff. The hotel is also located within driving (and in some cases waking) distance of good chain restaurants. It's also only about a 10-minute drive to downtown Greenville and the Bon Secours Wellness Arena where the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament was being played.
It was also exceptionally quiet and safe, and I slept very well all three nights.
