The unit was immaculately clean & I enjoyed the kitchenette. However, nothing excuses the overall poor communication on multiple levels!
1. Receiving numerous emails regarding self check-in instructions (inc the apt #) only to arrive & be met by a rude receptionist who lectures about check-in... She also inquired & received confirmation that I'm traveling alone.
2. I'm told explicitly that there will be no cleaning service because I have a short stay (3 nights). I say that's fine; I don't need cleaning. However, on Sunday morning, I am woken to find a STRANGER INSIDE THE APARTMENT!! Given that I left the door locked with the key in the door (for added security), I was TERRIFIED!!
3. I contact management in writing - still no response.
4. Later that day, I encounter the same receptionist. She gaslights me saying that she told me at check-in that I would only have cleaning "one day on, one day off." NO. I know what I heard, remember my exact reply and above all else, how does someone enter when I've locked it from the inside with the key still in the lock?!?
5. Also, there was no signage or evidently other means to prevent anyone from entering the unit without my knowledge/consent.
I've never felt so scared & unsafe as a solo traveler. And the Triton's utter disregard not to mention gaslighting highlights that they don't care for their guests' overall well-being. I left that night so I could feel both I and my belongings were safe. Good luck if you choose to stay here.
