We booked a 2 bedroom apartment. There was air coming through all the windows. We had to block with blankets, there was mould where wind and water coming through. Building constantly creaking so loud, the wind screaming through unsealed windows. We had to move kids into the lounge room on the floor as the bedroom was too cold from air gusts.
The heater/ split system arm was stuck down so didn't blow into room, it made a lot of noise & rattling, we were unable to sleep with heater on it was banging. The room was cold. The microwave was mouldy and had a terrible smell. There was putty filling in holes everywhere. The carpet was stained in most areas. We were provided no face washers. We were unable to contact management after hours- not answering calls. The Lounge turned into sofa bed for our no 5 so there was no where to sit in lounge. we paid extra $45 for “extra bed” sofa bed/ lounge extremely uncomfortable.
We were put on 60th floor with 3 children under 9 with open an open balcony.
We Contacted staff to be moved first night with concerns for safety. no response. We
tried to ring 2 x numbers on the second night and sent messages for assistance as it was horrific, The wind gushing through was horrendous and the building creaking was so scary. The 3rd day got a refund and booked into the oaks hotel down the road which was amazing, wish i had booked there in the first place. The managers were very hard to understand and communicate with.
