Although the woman manager was lovely and tried everything to accommodate us, this place is not what it is marketed to be. Remote is an understatement. We arrived at 2:00 from a long train ride to no food, no town, no restaurant near by, no air conditioning because the one in our room didn’t work and no taxi service that didn’t offer a window of hours. We were prepaid and checked out after 2 hours and didn’t care to lose the money. It was unhealthy hot in the room and outside was no better. We were required to drag our suitcases up a long dirt path to get to a street where a taxi the manager located would take us to a town we didn’t want to go but then had to take a train back to the town we arrived in. The manager again was lovely about it, helped us haul our bags and did bring us some cheese and snacks from the kitchen as I explained we were starving having not been able to eat since our train left at 5:00 and did not have food service. She tried very hard, but there is nothing that could have kept us there. Old a quaint is fine. Just old isn’t.
