This hotel was a gem in Zanzibar! The staff was just tremendous, very friendly and solicit, and did everything to make my stay pleasant: from offering umbrellas because of the rain, recommendations of places to go, helping out with the internet, breakfast, and even drying my shoes and socks after a rainy day. The location is very convenient, I felt very safe walking around Stone Town, even at night. The room was quite unique, it felt adapted, but it was very comfortable, with air conditioning, ceiling fan, wi-fi access (access was not great from room #2 though, but just outside the room was fine), and international plug adapters available in the room. I have to repeat that the staff was just something else, particularly Priscilla at the reception. There was a letter / manual from the hotel manager with a lot of useful information about the hotel and Zanzibar itself (local customs, tips, etc...)
Interesting that no one in town I talked to ever heard about this hotel, apparently it changed name/ownership recently.
