Positives: the front desk staff are LOVELY, and I can’t rate them highly enough. The basic single room was clean and comfortable and above the minimum standards I would expect for a budget place. The shower was good too, though no obvious way of switching from the hand-held to the overhead spray. Reliable WiFi.
Negatives: the toilet is squeezed into such a tight corner next to the sink unit that I, a not particularly big person, didn’t have room to sit on it straight. There’s no shelf in the shower for shampoo etc, and nowhere obvious to hang wet towels.
However by far the biggest negative is the noise. The sound-proofing between rooms is so bad that I could hear lively conversation at all hours of the night, as clearly as if they were in the same room. Thank heaven for noise-cancelling headphones, though it is not comfortable to sleep in them.
