We were here for our 32nd wedding anniversary. We stayed at this location a couple of years before COVID-19 when it was Hotel 11, and my wife loves the deep soaker tub in the larger rooms.
Unfortunately, we were not aware of the fact that some renovations to the ourside of the property were taking place when we made the reservation. Fortunately, it did not affect our stay, as the workers were very nice, and since my wife and I are fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, we made sure to communicate with them in their native tongue (Spanish) to let them know what room we were in if they needed us to move our vehicle for them for any reason (they did not need us to). We also spoke to one of them who was working on a new outside decorative fountain in the courtyard for a little while. He was doing excellent tile work and he was super nice!
Vicki, Andrew, and Cassie from the hotel were great!
The restaurant (Poeta) was fabulous! We split a Caesar salad. We normally do not eat croutons but these were NOT ordinary croutons! Although I still limited myself, they were fresh, homemade, buttery, and delicious!!!
I had the branzino and my wife had some of the fresh made pasta. Simply, wonderful!
