Room was spacious and spotless, and conveniently located to the ruins at Pompeii as well as the train station that serves the town. What they don't tell you in that email "everything you need to know for your stay," however, is that check in is actually at the Hotel St Caterina, around the corner. It doesn't tell you that at the entrance to the Ravida Suites, either. A sign tells you to telephone the hotel, but no one answers either number. Okay, I figured out to just go there, but it would have been easier and more direct if they'd told me to do so before I arrived. Breakfast is in the Hotel St Caterina, as well, on the roof deck. It's okay, and the servers are really friendly. The room itself was quite nice, but the bed was one of the most uncomfortable (hard) I've ever slept on, with really bad pillows that seemed really old. Considering that all one really does in a hotel is sleep, that's not good. Hot water was erratic -- enough for a shower in the evening, but only available for about one minute in the morning.
