Excellent infrastructure, but poor service
We stayed in the pool water villa between January 3rd and 7th 2024. The room is excellent, a trully 5 stars room with all the amenities for an excellent confort. But the service offered by resort staff, among a few exceptions, unfortunately it not even close to a 5 star hotel. Our seaplane arrived at the hotel pier, and nobody was there to receive us. We saw on Youtube that they make a little party for every guest arriving, they receive the guests at the pier with a huge staff, playing maldivian drums, but no one was there on our arrival. Two different staffs entered our room in 2 different days while we were inside the room, totally unnaceptable for a 5-star hotel. Some of the staff around the hotel unfortunately doesn't smile at you, and looks rude or mad. Drinks at the bars have much more water than drink itself. The Spice restaurant is a buffet style restaurant, with a huge variety of food, but low quality standards. You see flies flying around the buffet all the time, and everytime you order a simple juice or Coke, they take forever to bring it (when they don't get your order wrong). Pier6 restaurant is totally different and a trully 5 stars experience. Food is delicious, and the young girl who serves at this restaurant is a very corteous attendant. They should get the Pier6 as example, and use it standards for the whole resort. They have a huge potential because their infrastructure is excellent, but they really need to train their staff to become a trully 5 star.
