Awful experience. When we arrived the staff had no idea how to process a hotels.com reservation. They told us we would have to pay them. When we finally worked this issue and got to our room, we were initially happy with the arrangements. We left to go see Curaçao, and get some dinner. When we arrived back at our room fairly late the staff had already gone home for the evening. This is when we discovered the electricity was metered for each room. When your balance gets low, the meter in your room begins to beep every 30 seconds or so like a smoke sector with a low battery. Since there was no phone in the room and the meter was hard-wired into the system, there was no way for us to stop it. Needless to say, we got very little (if any) sleep that night. Early the next morning when we needed to leave for the airport, we discovered that the front gate was locked. Using our taxi drivers phone (who was good enough to pass it through the fence to us) we tried to call all three emergency numbers provided. Nobody would answer. So, we ended our stay by passing our luggage over the fence to the driver then climbing over prison break style. Never again.
