Had a very vey bad experience, when we arrived midnight, hotel staff told us Expedia never confirm my booking with them at all, and there was no available room at all. When I show them the email from Expedia mentioned that “Your reservation is confirmed. No need to call to reconfirm.” hotel staff claimed/ insisted the booked room was not confirmed, and there were a few similar incidents happened on the same day. It was a raining Saturday midnight, my son & I had to search for a hotel, unfortunately there was none available at the nearby hotels at all. Hotel staff also help med us call all the hotels nearby, unfortunately there was no room available at all. I was so exhausted. I begged the hotel staff to allow us to stay/rest in the sofa for a few hours as we have subsequent trip early next morning. Hotel staff rejected. Subsequently, he tried to be friendly and help us buy giving us a room which was still at the renovation stage, it was smellly and dirty, however better than stay in the street. I accepted the deal to pay the same amount as what I booked for staying 1 night in this room. Please give me an explanation and compensate accordingly.
