Easy walking or metro ride to whatever you need or want to see. Great restaurants within a block or two (La Tasca, Chilenazo, Fuzion). There is a supermarket close by to stock up on groceries, and the metro stop is also within a couple of short blocks. It's a longer walk through beautiful Parque Arauco to the large fashion mall (Mall Parque Arauco) where you'll find more restaurants, and an office for Turistik tours. One metro stop west to a good ski rental and transport company (Ski Total), and two metro stops east to Pueblito Los Dominicos, for excellent handicrafts. The metro will also take you to all the local sights and museums of interest, and is very to navigate, clean and fast.
The apartment offers views of the city and the Andes to the east. The main door is secured with someone always on hand at the desk, happy to greet you and with great advice about the area. The kitchenette has a small stove and oven, microwave, and refrigerator. Television and couch in the small living room, and a very comfortable bed in the bedroom. Bathroom is clean and bright. The building has a "quiet hours" policy through the evening, so it's very peaceful.
I can't say enough about the managers and the building staff - they were incredibly helpful and thoughtful. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to my friends.
