I recently stayed at this hotel for 10 days while waiting for my apartment to be ready. Everything was fine until my last day, when I had to check out. I lost track of time, went to my university&unfortunately forgot to check out. I received an email from the hotel informing me that my luggage was still in the room& that I needed to check out. I immediately called to apologize and said I would come to pick up my things.What happened next was beyond frustrating. The hotel told me they had already booked the room for another guest at a rate of $290, despite me originally paying $85 through the website.They claimed that the rate was higher that day, but they never informed me beforehand. I pleaded to remove the charge since it was an honest mistake,I was more than willing to vacate the room immediately. Their response? A cold, mean "No."When I arrived at the hotel, I found my room locked they refused to open it until I paid the $290. I didn't have a choice so I tried to pay in cash because I'm new to the US & don’t have a bank account yet.To make matters worse, they flat-out refused to accept cash!They only wanted payment via card which left me scrambling to find a place to load money onto a prepaid card. This process was completely unnecessary if they had just shown a bit of flexibility.By the time I finally managed to pay, I was beyond furious. I immediately moved to my apartment altho I have that night reservation.This hotel clearly does not care about its guests .
