Let down for the price
I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn for my 30th birthday, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped. I feel compelled to share my feedback regarding the service and accommodations, as it was a significant letdown for such a special occasion.
Upon checking in, there was a lack of communication from the staff. The attendant did not greet me or ask for my name; instead, he took my ID without saying anything, which took me by surprise as i was not expecting that. He was on his cell phone throughout the process. This lack of attention set a negative tone for my stay.
Furthermore, when we arrived at our room, it was not the room I had booked. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, as there was hair on the counter, and there was no soap provided. I was informed that nothing could be done to rectify the situation since the hotel was sold out, which left me very disappointed.
Given the amount I paid, which was $250.00, I expected a much higher standard of service and cleanliness. This experience has assured me that I will not return to the Hampton Inn in the future, especially after planning a surprise birthday stay.
