The staff member working at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Impressed with her service.
When I got to the room, I spent some time determining whether it was clean or not because there were so many scuff and chips in the paint on the walls and fixtures that they looked dirty. The lampshade in the room was vile - dirty with a big hole in it.
The main fixtures were clean but it ended there. The ceiling and light fixture were coated with cobwebs and even had dead spiders in them. There were Asian beetles in the room buzzing around as well. It seemed like no one had been in there for some time. I couldn't use the ceiling fan as it was coated in dust - you could see it on the edge of the blades.
The doors and windows didn't seem to tightly close as you could hear significant noise from outside the room. This made me feel very unsafe. There was no central smoke detector system, just a detector in the room and a pull alarm.
There was also only a partial roll of toilet paper with no extra.
I did not book expecting luxury. There were very few alternate accommodations in the city for those two days so I selected it expecting clean and safe. It disappointed on both fronts.
A fresh lampshade, a swiffer duster, and a can of paint would have gone a long way in this room.
