Nightmare stay. Place is loud. Didn't have hot water for 3 hours, and they at first were insisting that I was using the wrong knob. Only until I persisted did they realize that it was on their end. Finally, I kept trying to pay, but they always deferred to some later time. I told them that I was leaving at 10:30 AM to catch my train back to Ollataytambo and the person said she would be there for me to pay at checkout. 10:30 rolls around and she's not there. The two other people there for some reason cannot use the credit card machine. I wait around until it becomes obvious I'm going to miss my train and I leave. The hotel wrote me a message through Hotels.com asking to be paid. Since the Hotels.com was useless in helping with this, the Hotel's solution was for me to deposit money into their bank account or meet a relative in Cusco to pay them (no joke!). I was content with not paying them, but my wife was worried of legal repercussions (IE Peruvian jail), so we ended up waiting 2 hours at their bank in Cusco to deposit the money.
