Hotel Stay Review
Upon arrival, I appreciated the ample parking and smooth check-in process. The front desk staff were very nice and efficient, which made for a great first impression.
However, when I got to the room, I was shocked—it hadn’t been cleaned and looked like it had recently been used. There were pizza boxes and overflowing trash in the kitchen, dirty towels on the floor, and an unmade bed that clearly had been slept in. I was worried someone else might still be in the room.
I immediately called the front desk and went back down. Unfortunately, they had no other king rooms available, which we had originally reserved. We were given a double queen room instead. It was clean and decent, but the smaller beds meant we had to sleep separately, which was not ideal.
The next morning, breakfast was good and check-out was just as easy as check-in. I was told I would be compensated with reward points for the inconvenience, but I had to leave early for the Capitol and never received any follow-up, so I’m unsure if that ever happened.
If it weren’t for the issue with the dirty room and the downgrade, this would’ve been a great stay. The staff were professional, but management needs to improve housekeeping oversight and room readiness.
