We never actually got to stay at the hotel, as they had overbooked and tried to lie to us about it by telling us we got an upgrade... to another hotel, further away from our location of choice, and a room with a window to a brick wall! They'd told us we could go see the new room, and if we didn't like it, come back, but when we did try to go back, they told us we had forfeited the room by leaving, and they had already given it away in the span of 5min it took us to go and inspect the other hotel. They then went on to tell us that their hotel was no good, and the new hotel was much better, and we shouldn't want to stay at their hotel. The continued saying that what we had booked was a room with no window, despite the description on Hotels.com saying it was a courtyard room, so we should be glad we had an actual window in the new hotel. For 10-15min the guys from CL hotel tried to convince us that it was our fault we did not have a room at CL anymore, and what they "upgraded" us to was much better. The refused to admit they had overbooked their hotel, and were lying to us from the start, all the whole wasting our time!
Unacceptable service for overbooking, then lying about it and the fact they had given us an "upgrade", ignoring the fact we were tired and needed to just check into our room and rest, trying to put the blame on us, and effectively ruining our last day in Vietnam, and coincidentally New Year's.
