The Sidewalk hotel is a very pleasant, well run, typical Cambodian style hotel in one of the main streets of Siem Reap. It is not new at all, but the rooms are fine, all quite quiet as being built away from the street entrance. The entrance lobby is very bright and open, with attractive wooden furniture, where breakfast is served, all in a very nice elegant Cambodian style. The breakfast is fine, cooked to order when you come down to the lobby area. There is also a very nice small, quiet, private swimming pool at the back of the hotel. I found it really pleasant to relax there in the late afternoon. However it is the location of the hotel which is it's good value. It is in the next street to the main street of Siem Reap, but without the noise and the busy traffic. In the hotel's street there are actually very many excellent, good value local restaurants, and some good bars also. I found this absolutely ideal when going out in the evening, with such a good choice within an easy short distance from the hotel. Also the very busy main town centre, and the bright nightlife area is only a short walk from the hotel, as well as other conveniences such as good supermarkets and other good local shopping.
