Could Not Check In!!!
So my flight was delayed and I didn't get to hotel until almost 1am on the night I was checking in. When I walked in the Front Desk area is all locked up and there is no one there. It is a tiny little lobby area where yiu check in and then there's another door which leads to elevator and hotel rooms.
So there's a corded phone in tnis tiny lobby, area that says dial 0 to get an operator if noone's at tbe front desk. So I dial and it takes me through a few prompts where I press 1 for people trying to Check in. It rang forever and then someone finally picked up. Some customer service desk that sounded like they were in another country. He tried calling the night attendant who is suppose to be on dutyand they did not pick up. Then he called general manager and he didn't pick up. Then he called the district manager and he did not answer. All the time he's puttimg me on hold when he's tryingbto reach these other staff members.
So I gave up and went next door to a Qualty Inn & got a room there where there is somebody working the front desk 24 hours a day which all major hotels should have.
I'm most certainly going to get a refund for the hotel room at Extended Stay America where I NEVER got to check in.
I would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone ever stay at that hotel. What an AWFUL situation it is if you have to check in after 10pm!!!
