I often stay in Best Western hotels on trips, which totals probably around a week a year spread out over a few different hotels. This is probably the worst Best Western I've stayed at. We arrived at 8pm to check in, the agent told us how lucky we were that one room was left. We booked the room months ahead, so I'd hope so. I confirmed we still had the bed selection I booked and paid for. He chuckled that it was a couple dollars extra a night for a king bed. It was $20 extra a night, and even if it was one cent, I paid for it so I expect it. We received the room right next to the manager's room, across from the laundry room, and very close to the lobby and breakfast area. It was loud day and night with check-ins, the lobby TV running, housekeeping setting up their carts, breakfast being set up. The room itself was very dirty, spiderwebs and clumps of dirt in corners, hair on pillows and towels, etc. As someone who typically loves staying at Best Western and appreciates their customer service, this visit was extremely lacking. I doubt I'll have a reason to go back to Galt in my life, but if I do, I'll certainly stay elsewhere.
