We were collected by Nikola from the airport, who stopped off at a supermarket on the way to the Villa so that we could buy provisions: we did not ask him to do this, and we were very grateful he offered. He then gave us a mini-tour in the car around Plat and pointed out the restaurants, how to get to the beaches and the nearest mini-mart.
On arrival, he gave us a drink while we checked in, and he gave us information about where to go and how to get to Cavtat, Dubrovnik, and Mlini/Srebrano (which is where the idyllic beaches are). Information ranged from the best restaurants (King, which is about 3 minutes' walk away was superb, a family run restaurant where we were made to feel very welcome and fed like king and queen).
It is a quiet area, but the number 10 bus route (which runs between Cavtat and Dubrovnik) is at the end of the road, and runs about every 30 minutes. It was perfect for us.
Big,clean, airy and comfortable room, decorated very tastefully and practically. We would not have wanted to have stayed anywhere else.
