The room was comfortable (decoration was a bit tacky but not a problem) and quiet, and the breakfast was very good. Also, location was quite good, a close walk to Piazza San Marco and strategically placed between two vaporetto stations, which was quite handy. Also, close to the Accademia for those who are interested in visiting. The reception was separate to the hotel, placed on the other hotel Belle Arti - I personally do not like when this happens, I like having a reception in the same structure as that one I am staying, due to bad previous experiences with having to walk in and out of my hotel, but in this case it was not a problem, because the reception really is quite close - just across the street. Also, after booking the hotel I read some reviews claiming it to be unsafe because there is no control of who is getting in or out and this made me a little nervous before checking-in. However, after getting to the hotel, I noticed that this is NOT TRUE, because access to the building is only possible with an electronic badge, and this felt safe enough. Plus, it is a pretty calm street, so even less to worry about. So, to the other travelers worrying on that, do not. Recommend it and would come back.
