Good location and budget friendly. But the stay was extremely unpleasant.
Upon checking into our room on 4th floor we quickly realised the aircon was not working (blowing hot air) and informed the staff. They were unable to fix it and handed us a new key card instead. So we packed up and moved to a room that looked slightly bigger with a newer aircon. We thought hey that's a nice gesture, but we were so wrong.
10 minutes after we had happily settled down, they came back to us saying we had to move again because - I quote them directly here - "This was a DELUXE room and we had booked a SUPERIOR room". So we had to pack up again and carry our own luggage to the 3rd room.
Now I want to clarify here that we were NOT expecting any room upgrade in the first place just because the aircon was broken. We simply wanted it to be fixed. It was the hotel's decision to assign us a new room, and instead of making proper amendments, they did not hesitate to inconvenience us over their own mistake, without a single apology. Sure, we're not expecting 5 star customer service here, but the way they handled the whole situation was completely tactless and unprofessional.
FYI, 1) They will keep your passports instead of making a photocopy. 2) There will be 2 free bottles of tap water on your table, the mineral water in the fridge is chargeable (33 baht). Just highlighting this because it's not stated clearly anywhere. 3) Transport from hotel to airport can be arranged for 300 baht.
