DO NOT STAY HERE!
Firstly please be aware that this is a weird set up. The ‘hotel’ is actually Oaks Elan, and Signatures on Woods is on the 13th floor. You are told not to talk the the reception at the Oaks, the ‘reception’ is virtual.
We had a family group staying, with a total of 4 rooms, all of the rooms had problems.
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 adults and 2 children. The room only had 2 double beds. Not the best of my teenage children.
The fridge was not working, despite repeated emails and phone calls, it was not until day 9 of our 10 day stay that someone even came to look at the fridge.
I suggested it would be reasonable to either move us to another room, bring in a portable fridge or even an esky and ice. I was told by the management that there was nothing they could do and that the fridge was being replaced after our stay was finished.
The manager put in writing twice that he would reimburse the cost of the food that was spoilt, then revoked the offer.
Also the BBQ didn’t work, it was removed but not replaced, and the air conditioner leaked like a tap, management’s response was to put a towel on the floor (l filled a bucket overnight).
Such poor service. Incredibly disappointing as Darwin is a beautiful please with wonderful people.
