It was our first time in los cabos and an all-inclusive resort. We went during mid-Dec. Resort was less than 1/2 full. Long story short, our time at Marquis was wonderful and relaxing, and the resort hit high notes on most areas. Facility was on the small side but that’s what we wanted, and it was well maintained. Our ocean-view room, while not well-soundproofed, was very clean, and the bed was comfortably firm with thick comforter. Food was a bit of hit-or-miss (generally under-seasoned and local flavors that sometimes caught me off-guard; e.g., grilled shrimp had a bit of Chinese food flavor) but always used fresh ingredients so that was appreciated. Also, with only two restaurants (Sakke and Vista Ballenas) for dinner, the menu could become repetitive. For lunch or snack, try freshly made pizza at Pergola. We ate that every day! Coffee was weak but double shot latte does the job. Cocktails were good and strong enough, but were on the sweeter side. There were enough activities to do between lazy swim / lounge sessions. Had no trouble getting chairs when we wanted. Gym was small. Service was mostly great, although a few staff seemed indifferent. But the manager (old guy), I think we saw him at least twice a day asking us if everything was alright. The only low note was the GrayLine shuttle (also booked through expedia). The vans are rough, no seatbelts, the driver didn’t wear seatbelt, and these guys are more interested in getting there fast than your comfort.
