Check in was simple, breakfast was exactly as expected (gravy was unexpectedly good), the standout was free evening meals and drinks. Staff was super friendly, mostly interacting in the meal area and did a good job remembering small conversations we had with them. Drinks were provided each night on a kind of punchcard basis, and the bartenders were great.
As for my title, there were several youth sports teams staying the night that particular weekend and they got a bit loud for my preference. However, I felt comfortable knowing that this hotel was the choice for families whose kids were gonna be largely on their own for a trip. Despite the rowdiness, it was really nice having the sense that everyone was welcome, kids, people who took Halloween a couple days too far, couples, and families. Made for lots of good people watching and some hilarious yhtbt overheard conversations.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be in the Tempe area for a couple nights.
