We enjoyed staying at the island a lot. Even tho it was pretty cold, there were very thick blankets and the owners were nice enough to provide us hot-water bags without us asking. We felt like they were trying their best to make us enjoy our stay.
However, it is quite a hassle to get to the island, which we ended up just booking their private pickup service which is $5(USD) per person per way. They waited for us at the bus station with a sign, our bus from Arequipa arrived 30 mins than usual and they were patient enough to wait for us without any complains. They even directed us to getting our bus tickets (which is in the same bus station) for the next day to La Paz.
Since we went to the island directly, we ended up buying the $10 USD dinner on the island. We only ordered two dinners for the four of us since we were not very hungry. Surprisingly, the food was very good, and they didn't judge us for ordering so little between the four of us.
The owners of the island were very friendly and you could really relax during your stay. I would recommend this "hotel" to any of my friends.
Bear in mind that there are no wifi and the washrooms are outside, where you need to exit your room and walk outside.
