An enormous ilusion. I had a personalized transfer from the airport. Upon arriving there was the father's owner for the transfer by The cos of USD 30.00. However he was expecting two other passangers by the cost of USD 30.00 each, which would amount to a total of USD 90.00. I declined The transfer for obvious reasons. I took a normal taxi, which cost me USD 21.00. Upon arriving at the hostel I was assigned to a very tiny room with no hot water. I requested a room change, which, at first was fully denied by the owner's father, who lives and manages the hostel from Miami, which is totally incomprehensible to me for obvious reasons: a manager should always be nearby and not overseas. Upon my insisting tô have a other room, I finally was assigned a other on the second floor. It must be said that The staircase which leads to the second and third floor is far too steep and very dangerous to anyone, specially to older people who have osteoporosis, like myself. The staircase is built with Iron and is totally open on the sideways and very slippery when it rains. And in Quito it rains everyday. A false step on a slippery and very DANGEROUS staircase can be fatal. There are many other very harmful details upon this hostel, which would take much time and space, which is reduced. My experience staying in this hostel was far too BAD in severa aspects. Therefore, I totally do not recommend this hostel to anyone, be they young or elderly.
