I go to Midland every few months. This was the WORST experience we have ever had. I was SHOCKED that this is a Hilton property.
When we arrived, we were kept waiting by a single person at the front desk who couldn’t check in the people ahead of us. While he searched through the computer, he couldn’t tell which rooms were clean, empty, or being used. He ended up leaving all of us standing there while he went to check the rooms himself (not a single other staff member to go check the rooms, or help those of us waiting. When he got back- he knew which room he could use, but the computer wouldn’t let him check them in. We have still not even been acknowledged. When he got to us, he couldn’t tell us which of our two rooms was suite style and which was not. He then insinuated that it was our fault due to how we made the reservation.
This morning we got to breakfast at 8:15. The trash can (only one) was overflowing, there were no eggs (empty, dirty steam pans), no butter, no milk, no cream cheese. Plain bagels and white bread with peanut butter, cold cereal, waffle batter and a SINGLE sausage patty. I assumed there was only one person working until we heard the laughing and joking from the kitchen. We asked if there would be more food and were told they were working on more eggs.
Twenty minutes later we had finished our coffee, took the paper cups with us to throw away outside and never got any warm food.
We will be returning to a non-Hilton chain from now on.
