I had an issue upon arrival, late at night, with proper access to the property. I was supposed to have received an email with entry codes and directions. However, I did not receive any communication from the property itself, only a confirmation email from hotels.com, where I booked the reservation. My only issue is if the property is going to use a 3rd party vendor for booking, then they need to provide more communication with the vendor or directly to the patron. I had to reach hotels.com customer service, who were able to reach the property manager and he was able to forward me the information to get inside. However, this was approximately 90 minutes after arrival and going past midnight local time. The manager explained the situation and error and the accommodations were good. But, if you book through any site other than directly through the property, be very aware that you need to reach them directly in advance to get check in information. This is the first time booking a hostel through hotels.com and was not made aware by the vendor or property of very specific details about receiving an email in advance, nor had any reason to think there would be an issue checking in on my arrival. The stay was good, but the communication and coordination was definitely not what I expected or anticipated during my trip.
