Not a bad hotel, fully refurbished rooms. It is however overpriced.
The place is also severely under-staffed, meaning you wait to check it, wait to check out and wait for breakfast, wait to be served at the bar, at any time of the day... breakfast lunch or dinner. Wait, and wait, and wait...
Breakfast was a case-in-point... We (a work colleague and I) met for breakfast at 8:15. We went through to the restaurant, via the main reception. We then had to wait, in the dark, for someone to greet us. After 10 minutes, I went back to reception to ask if breakfast was being served. To be told the receptionist would be "with me in a minute". There was no-one else around, guest or staff... The man from reception then turned came through and turned the light on, and asked us what we wanted. I asked for tea, my colleague asked for a cup of the filter coffee, a full jug of which was on the hot plate, to be told that this "would be cold", and would we be OK with a coffee from the machine. It took 15 minutes for these to arrive. We both asked for the "Breakfast Sandwich". I asked for sausage, my colleague asked for bacon and sausage, to be told it was only "choice of sausage and bacon", not both. 20 minutes later I was presented with 2 chipolata sausages (cut lengthways) lined up on two slices of yesterdays sliced white bread. A bargain at just £8.95.
