We stayed 3 nights in a pool villa.
Whilst the space is large, the actual bedroom is only normal hotel room size. The bed is huge and comfortable.
Having the private pool is lovely, the villa's are designed so they're not overlooked. However, the entire villa, pool area and especially the decking boards are desperately in need of maintenance. The photos on the website must be from years ago when everything was pristine, now it's looking very scruffy. Everything needs a coat of paint or varnish, the decking is curled up and nails and screws are sticking out so you catch your feet on them if you go barefoot. It's nice but certainly not luxurious. There were a few bugs but to be honest you have to expect that up country in Bali and we used our bug spray which easily dealt with them.
Breakfast in the restaurant is "a la carte", we had the "American breakfast" but parts of it were heavily flavoured with garlic, not what we wanted first thing in the morning. Coffee is Balanise coffee, not to our taste but you can order cappuccino's etc but they charge extra for those.
I did have a massage at the small spa, it was nice but they charge 3 times the price of the many spas in Ubud. Captive audience I guess.
We used the free shuttle into Ubud each day, it runs every couple of hours and this was very good to have as there is literally nothing adjacent to the hotel. It takes around 15 minutes to get into Ubud and we went there each evening to eat. There are numerous restaurants in the town
