My wife and I spent a total of 6 nights at Fallen Angel during our Peru honeymoon, and we loved the place. Before we even arrived, they became the first hotel that's ever proactively messaged me on Expedia - asking if we needed anything, such as coordinating transportation to the hotel. We spent five nights in the yellow room, which had a loft and a balcony, then went for a 5-day trek, and then spent one night in the red room. Both rooms had wonderfully quirky and interesting art and furniture pieces, most of which have something to do with Peruvian traditional or colonial life. Uniquely, Fallen Angel also puts a lot of effort into making their bathrooms unique and interesting as well.
What stood out most with Fallen Angel for us, though, was their staff. The hotel has four rooms, and is otherwise a restaurant. All of their restaurant staff can work with hotel patrons, so while there's not really a reception desk, there are always staff around to help with anything you need. All spoke good English, and they helped us with arranging tours, taxis, 4am boxed breakfasts, and helped us work around some major protests that were going on at the time (and blocking roads in the city). They are happy treating the rooms as essentially extra restaurant tables, and serve all their food and drinks to the rooms. Breakfasts were delicious and served to the room at times that we requested. Overall, we'd very highly recommend Fallen Angel, particularly for couples.
