Reception closed, sign said to go to Bistro Bar. Bar staff had to go and find someone to check me in. They then tried to give me directions to return to the reception area where I had just come from.
Trying to book a table for dinner on arrival, approx 5.30pm, we were told we could not have a table for 6 until 7pm. We were then told at just after 8pm, when we wanted to order dessert, that the kitchen was closed but she would go and talk to the chef. He agreed to prepare desserts for us. There were plenty of empty tables in the bistro all evening so we were at a loss as to why we had to wait until 7pm especially as we had children with us who tend to be accommodated earlier at bistros.
We had 2 family rooms. 1 room had curtain hanging off at end and therefore wouldn't cover the window properly. We couldn't fix it. 2nd room centre light not working and 1 bedside light not working as a part missing. We were told on departing the missing part was on order. This made a dark and gloomy room. On the good side we had plenty of lovely towels, washers and 2 bath mats.
