At check in, i was exhausted from a very long day of travel (it was about 11:15 pm). The staff member who checked me in requested the license plate number of my vehicle, which I didn't know from memory. I told him I'd parked the car on the opposite side of the property, a long walk away from the office, and he required me to walk back to the vehicle then back to the office then, of course, back to the actual room he assigned me.
Given he's in the "hospitality industry", he could've easily taken five minutes to walk over to the vehicle with me and saved me the three unnecessary "back & forth" trips, but he had absolutely no interest in assisting (there were other staff members in the office at that time as well).
I went and got the information he forced me to deliver and let him know that I am a frequent business traveler - I stay in the DFW region for at least one week per month - every month - and that he did not need to worry about me EVER staying in his hotel again.
