Without a doubt, this is one haveli we absolutely loved. Fabulous, in almost every aspect. Skip Breakfast There is more exciting food elsewhere, but dinner is a must. The menu is local, simple, and delicious, if you can have your meal outdoor, all the better. The rooms are of old-world grandeur, full of period furniture, reflective mirrors, oil painting portraits, and walls painted with intricate designs in gold. You feel like you're in someone's home, It doesn't have the finest of bedding but makes up for it in every other aspect. If you are looking for ultimate luxury at every level, this place isn't for you, but if you're a creative who appreciates antiques, history, art, fabulous interiors with a few tatty edges, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. It's on the doorstep to the Junagarh Fort, which is well worth a visit.
Bhairon Vilas is today run by the ancestors of Bhairon Sing Ji and it has a true family feel about it. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful and we could have stayed so much longer. Try and stay at least 3 nights if not more, otherwise, you'll feel it's all too much of a rush. For the creative in you, I would thoroughly recommend Bhairon Villas. It is quite literally a 'jewel in the crown'.
