I spent the first night only because of the cancellation policy. That was on 9/6/24, The hotel has yet to return the money paid for the other 10 nights. It has blamed Hotels.com, Expedia, the banks, their finance department and I guess it will be God next as to why the funds have not been refunded. This is disgraceful, disappointing and dishonest. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. Would never stay at any of their related properties either.
I also witnessed the callousness of the staff towards a guest that fell and broke her hip on the property. She faced a grueling trip home to South Africa but was trying to address why they had her taken to a public hospital which misdiagnosed her fractured hip as a strain, She was ignored and dismissed. I thought it so cruel I could not sleep. This on top of the fact that my room overlooked a noisy street, the sofa had what appeared to be cigarette holes in it. In addition, to get to my room, I had to cross a courtyard while it rained and there was no protective covering. I could go on but you get the picture….
