First day of our holidays we got terribly shocked! We've booked Key Largo Appartments based on google reviews and even the price was slightly high for our budget, we thought at least we are going to stay at an amazing place.
We drove from Sydney and were getting there a bit late and Angela, receptionist, was good and orginised our keys and check in details safely stored at the front of the hotel. Thank you!
However the cleanliness of our room was absolutely discusting and shocking! It was so outdated, old and dirty. The cushions were stained, the carpet was oily, stained and ripped at places. The sheets had also stains and blood stains on it. Kitchen has oily stove and funny smell. The worst of all there was dust everywhere , the thicket layer i have even seen in my life and the curtains to the front littlest yard had mold on them, absolutely disgusting!!! We have payed for this nightmare $1800 for 5 nights stay. Our son has dust allergy and started having heavy breathing. There was one half toilet roll in the bathroom and no bathroom utensils whatsoever, only half used soap container, probably left by an old tenants. We couldnt sleep all the night and asked for a refund at the reception. Angella was lovely and made cancelation smooth for us.
I would highly recommend to clean and refurbish this unit asap. Luckily, we've found an amazing hotel for the same price with ocean view and very clean facilities after checking out.
