The staff were amazing, and the service was great—they were always ready to help with anything we needed. However, the elevators and escalators were frequently out of order, which often caused significant pile-ups. As a result, we ended up using the stairs about 95% of the time. Unfortunately, at certain hours, the stairwell doors were locked, which puzzled us—why would a fire safety exit ever be inaccessible? The building itself is in dire need of major maintenance. Approximately 50% of the light bulbs were burned out, except in the front area and casino, where it’s clear all the money has been funneled over the past 20 years. The rest of the property has been sorely neglected. The parking garage was filthy and reeked of human waste. The surrounding areas have also seen better days, with numerous homeless camps and trailers dotting the outskirts of the property. We had originally planned to use the sky train for transportation, but after seeing the condition of everything, we opted to drive instead. Again, the staff were consistently great, but they can only do so much when everything around them is falling apart. The pool area never had fresh towels, and the deck was littered with multiple Band-Aids and grime that sat around for days—simple issues that could easily have been cleaned up. I would love to bring my family here again, but would need to see some rather large improvements before doing so.
