I booked one of the more expensive apartments hoping to cook during my stay. However, upon arrival, both the lady checking me in and I were shocked to find the room in an unlivable state with exposed wires, rust, and a makeshift, filthy kitchen setup devoid of any pots, pans, cutlery, or soap. The couch was also heavily stained. I was then shown two more rooms, which were equally unacceptable and below any livable standard.
Since the apartment was booked for three people, a couple and a single, I politely requested two rooms without kitchen facilities. Unfortunately, the manager, Peter, responded aggressively, accusing me of trying to take advantage of him, despite the cheaper price of the requested rooms.
To add to the disappointment, there was no Wi-Fi throughout my seven-day stay, which was extremely frustrating. As a result, I spent most of my time at another property where a friend was staying, using their kitchen facilities and Wi-Fi.
The air conditioning in the apartment was ineffective, and the room temperature never dropped below 26 degrees Celsius, making the nights uncomfortable and sweaty.
On the positive side, the apartment did have a nice pool area, and the female receptionist was doing her best under the circumstances.
