Perspective: I’m from the US and my partner is Austrian. We both thought this was one of the worst places we had ever stayed in the developed world.
The room we stayed in looked nothing like the online photos. The carpet was ancient, stained and smelly both in the room and halls. Furniture was likewise decades out of date and not in good shape. We walked around the different floors and saw no signs of the updating claimed on the description. This is a large, impersonal hotel that was probably built in the 1950s with minimal updates since. The rooms were clean enough, and we slept okay, but given the distance from town this should only be considered as a last resort at a budget rate.
The breakfast was truly awful. Austrians are quite proud of their breakfasts and my partner was ready to throw a fit with the quality of the food and service. The breads were soggy, fruit was mushy cut up apple, the bacon inedible, and with juice/water glasses only a couple of ounces I had to stand the serving table repeatedly filling my shot glass to get a solid drink of water.
The man and woman at the front desk were very friendly and that was perhaps the most positive part of our experience.
